Well, I am not saying that I am using a derivate (!), but if I'd like to install a fridge into my car, I'd buy one that at least can cool my drinks - if you understand what I mean. The genuine MS hardware does not have anything from what I'd call "automotive style" - it looks like an industrial device. My favourite no-go: D-SUB connectors should'nt be used in rugged automotive envoironments. Maybe that was state of the art in the early days of MS and maybe it's still ok to put such things into originally carburated V8 Muscle Cars - but using those in a more modern vehicle? Inacceptable. So the only way to use an original MS hardware with an adequate design would be the MicroSquirt, which has, as far as I understand, far limited features and options.Acki hat geschrieben:Without the clones Megasquirt wouldn't had such success in Europe.
Most don't want DIY look-a-like
Maybe it's time to think about some changes? Even though these thoughts might have been kicked-off by some counterfeit ECUs, the final result counts?!
